Sebastino Paolino was born in Atella, Potenza on May 31, 1895. He was the son of Vincenzo Paolino and Maria Giuseppa (Disenzo) Paolino. He died in New Jersey in April of 1967.
He had a brother named Andrea Paolino. Andrea made several trips from Italy to America and back. He arrived at 25 years and 8 months of age, on May 12, 1911 on the America from Naples. He returned and arrived again December 18, 1913 on the Venezia out of Naples. Again he returned and arrived October 31, 1914 on the Patria again out of Naples. The third and last time he arrived was December 23, 1919. He traveled with his wife, Olivia (Russo) Paolino (age 29), his daughter Maria Giuseppa Paolino (age 8 ) and his mother-in-law, Maria Lucia Di Palma (age 60, a widow).
Somewhere between 1913 and 1919, Irene Russo , the wife of Sebastiano Paolino arrived in America. She was born in Atella, Pontenza on December 5, 1894. Her parents were Joseph Russo and Maria Lucia (Di Palma) Russo. She died in New Jersey on December 13, 1974.
An interesting fact is that Sebastiano and his brother married sisters. They first lived in Trenton, NJ, then settled in Bound Brook, NJ, where they raised their families. The ships manifest states that they were to meet an uncle, Gennaro Paolino and brother-in-law, Michele Guadagno who were probably their sponsors in America.
